About this site

Once upon a time, I had many different websites, scattered across many different servers and webhosts.

This was a very bad idea.

Every time I picked up a new interest, I made a new website for it with my self-taught HTML and CSS knowledge. I went from plain links and text to tables to CSS to Wordpress, each time vainly trying to convert my old content to the new format, or making some note somewhere that I would eventually do so, and please enjoy the archives in the meantime. I just couldn’t bear to delete all that hard work by me-in-the-past, nor could I tolerate the thought of people clicking on a link somewhere and ending up at the dreaded “404 Page Not Found”.

I still don’t want to abandon my old sites. They’re a record of who I was at that point in time; what was interesting to me, what I found amusing, and what I passionately cared about. Someday, when I’ve got the time and energy (and the magical technology that will convert 1998-era HTML to chic modern website design), I’ll revamp them all. For now, though, those sites will have to sleep.
